SK consoles VP on brother’s death

ZANU-PF spokesperson Cde Simon Khaya Moyo has sent a message of condolence to the Mohadi family following the passing on of Vice President Kembo Mohadi’s brother Cephas Bayane Malapela.

Mr Malapela (79) a retired headmaster, succumbed to chest pains on Monday while admitted at Gwanda Provincial Hospital.
“We learnt with alarm and sadness the untimely passing on of VP Mohadi’s brother this week. His demise is obviously an unexpected blow to the Mohadi family. This is an act of God as ‘he giveth and he taketh.’ He played his role in this world and has left a legacy of hard work, commitment and selfless service to humanity. In wishing the family strength and staying power, may his soul anchor and rest in eternal peace,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

VP Mohadi said his brother started his teaching career in the 1960s and remained in the profession until he retired while holding the post of headmaster. He worked in various schools in rural and urban Gwanda.
VP Mohadi said Mr Malapela will be buried on Saturday at his homestead in Ngoma area in Gwanda. He said his wife passed away last year and he is survived by five children.
