POPULAR Tswana songstress and dance queen, Naledi “Slizer” Kaisara and Peter “Young Igwe” Moyo are set to share the stage in what promises to be a thrilling Sunday at Jabula Inn in Esigodini. In an interview, the organiser of the show, Jorum Gumbo, said fans should expect a good show from the two musicians who would be performing for the first time in Matabeleland South.

“This will be a great show and fans should expect to see and hear good music coupled with good dance moves. This will be the first time for Peter’s album Mushonga Mukuru to be played in Esigodini,” he said.

Peter Moyo released his maiden album Mushonga Mukuru in July and has slowly become the talk of the entertainment scene.  Together with Slizer, they have formed a good working relationship and an adorable combination since they first performed together in Harare, in August.

Peter Moyo’s manager, Suko Dube said Peter and Slizer had developed a good understanding which has seen them perform in more than 10 shows this year.

“Slizer was initially in the country for the Tongai Moyo commemorations but due to her favourable Visa which allowed her to be in the country for a number of days, we agreed to hold tours throughout the country,” he said.

Dube said the pair commands a huge following in Matabeleland and this was another chance for their fans in the region to see them in action.

“We have a lot of new things to show our Matabeleland South fans. I know a number of fans have been asking when we will be coming to perform for them. This time we are coming with a special treat for them which will see them being treated to a Peter and Slizer combination,” he said.

The Tswana diva is no stranger to Zimbabwe’s entertainment scene having been to the country several times and staging shows with a number of artistes among them Sungura maestro, Alick Macheso.

One thing that cannot be taken away from Slizer is her stage presence and her ability to move in an amazing and enthralling way. Blessed with both beauty and a flexible body, she leaves nothing to the imagination when she moves to the fast pace of her music.

In the music circles, Slizer is known as an energy goddess because of her stage presence and has earned a reputation as a star performer. Fans love her and she is in the best shape to deliver another of her good performances.

Slizer is doing well on the local charts with her song Makau Bankintsa Ba Rhee which is receiving rotation in nightclubs, parties and other social gatherings.

That is a clear indication of the diva’s popularity in Zimbabwe where she has become a household name from the time her music invaded the local entertainment scene a few years back.
