ALICK Macheso’s former dancer, Francis “Slomo” Dhaka, is set to launch his sixth album titled Hauna Zera Neni at Tanza Centre in Chitungwiza on Friday.
Speaking to H-Metro, his manager, Luckmore Kambadza, said the album talks about respect.
“Hauna Zera Neni means if a person is older than you, or younger than you, you can never be regarded as the same age.
“It’s about how people should respect each other,” he said.
Unpacking the album, he said:
“The album carries six tracks which include different genres, and there are no collaborations in it.”
Tracks on the album are Hauna Zera Neni, Molly, Mweya Wakaipa, Chiringe Nzira, Baba Namai and Hanzvadzi.
Artists set to grace the album launch include Suluman Chimbetu, Mathias Mhere, Seh Calaz, Vee Mhofu and DJ Dhafu.
“What made us to come up with this line-up is that we wanted to make sure we cater for everyone.
“There are some artists who people love to watch performing, so we had to make sure we put together a line-up the fans will love,” he told H-Metro.
Asked how it has been working with Slomo, after his stint with Juntal, Kambadza said: “Well, it is now three months working as Franco’s manager.
“So far, all is well, but it’s a bit hard to adapt to the type of genre he sings.
“It will take time for me to learn it and to make him shine among other sungura acts.
“But, I believe I will put a touch of class to it all.”
