Perhaps, the most underrated dancehall singer in Zimbabwe, the 32-year-old singer is now on the rise and basking in the glory of his hugely popular fifth album “Attention”.
The album has already produced four instant hits — “Love Yemusoja”, “Porongi”, “Zora Butter” and the controversial “Mwari Ndibatsirei” whose beat sounds very much like Blessing Shumba’s “Hama”.
For some musicians success comes gradually but Prayzah made it big with his first album. The lanky artiste has had a phenomenal rise to stardom ever since he stormed the music scene.
His song “Sungano” and “Gochi Gochi” became instant hits with revellers and whatever he released afterwards turned out to be gold. The artiste has three polished albums under his name. namely “Rudo Nerunyararo”, “Sungano Yerudo” and “Ngwarira Kuparara”.
To date, the artiste has shared the staged with some of the country’s leading musicians like the legendary Oliver Mtukudzi, sungura king Alick Macheso, Zora exponent Leonard Zhakata, comedian-cum-musician Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima as well as some foreign artistes.
Recently, Prayzah — born Mukudzei Mukombe — was in UK for his maiden tour which he described as a resounding success and stepping stone to international stardom.
Away from music, Jah Prayzah is a bit actor and has had some cameo roles in comedy flicks “Bag Remhosva” and “Bag Rabvaruka”.
