Sniper, Xtra Large for ‘Chicken Slice Funival’

 

Besides the music and games, the day will also feature a great deal of prizes as they launch the new “Kid Slicer”, a food pack that suits the young at heart.
Nama award-winning Sniper of the “Love Yemusaoja” fame is doing well on the airwaves with his latest single “Kukuvarira Mukati”.
Lyrically Sniper who is affectionately known to his fans as “The General” is a gifted performer.

He is full of energy and whenever he performs fans are assured of a thrilling act.
Part of repertoire includes heavy-hitters such as “Hubinya”, “Musikana Haarohwe”, “Wainira Musoja” and “Mwari Ndibatsirei”, a remix of Blessing Shumba’s gospel number called “Hama”.

Before winning the Nama this year, “The General” was perhaps the most underrated dancehall chanter. HJowever, the 32-year-old singer is basking in the glory of his hugely popular fifth album “Attention”.

The album has already produced four instant hits — “Love Yemusoja”, “Porongi” and “Zora But­ter”.
Xtra Large is known for fusing music and humour.

The duo of Norman Manwere and Jimmy Mangezi has thrilled many fans throughout Zimbabwe with their humorous lyrics.
Popularly known in music circles as “Maroja”, the group is one of the pioneers of urban grooves genre and besides their swag the two also know how to deliver on stage.

However, the “Chicken Slice Funival” is not only for children but also for parents who will have a chance to spend time with their loved ones.
Some of the activities lined up on the day include a large foam party, swimming, Hanna Montana jumping castles, Ben 10 jumping castle, clown, face painting and balloon art, drams, dance groups and poetry.

Bernadette Mutoko, procurement and marketing manager of Packers International, the company that runs Chicken Slice, said there were lots of giveaway prizes for children including posters, caps and T-shirts.

“On this day there is going to be lots of fun and the launch of Kid Slicer, a favourite menu that caters for children in a new pack.
“But to cap it all we are going to be hosting children to a day of fun and games as well as music,” she said.
