Soldier stabbed

in the chest by four men while coming from a night club in Chitungwiza last week.
One of the suspects has been picked up for questioning in connection with the murder of Kingston Magwenya (34) at around 3am in Unit L suburb last Friday.
Magwenya died on admission at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.
According to police chief spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Wayne Bvudzijena, Magwenya was coming from a night club in Unit L when the four assailants followed him.
“They waylaid him before one of them stabbed him on the chest with a suspected broken bottle and he collapsed before they fled,” Snr Asst Comm Bvudzijena said.
Passers-by rushed Magwenya to Chitungwiza Central Hospital where he was pronounced dead on admission as a result of the stab wound.
Snr Asst Comm Bvudzijena said investigations were underway and that the police had managed to identify one of the suspects – Estrade Gwavarara also of Chitungwiza. “We are also looking for his three brothers who we suspect committed the offence together with him,” he said.
Police appealed to anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
