SOMA STILL RELEVANT

SOMANDLA “Mafia” Ndebele might be keeping a low profile but he is still in the game.

The Denda Brothers leader has been holding a series of shows in mining towns like Venice, Empress Mine, Chakari and some parts of Chegutu and Kadoma.

This Saturday, he gets an opportunity to share the stage with Alick Macheso at Gatsi Sports Club in Chegutu.

Mafia has a rich history in the industry and he is out to prove all the doubting Thomases wrong.

“We are going for this one as a team because Cheso Power is our favourite musician.

‘This past weekend we were celebrating with Zhakata in Kadoma.

“The towns are close by which makes it easy for us to attend big shows on either side,” said Naison “Nodza” Banda, a staunch sungura music fan, resident in Chegutu.

The double is one of the biggest shows in town for some time.

Soma’s double comes at a time when Macheso and Zhakata are both celebrating 55 years.
