A CHIKANGA woman has approached the courts seeking a protection order against her violent son who evicted her from home to accommodate ladies of the night.Ennet Kembo told the court that her son, Fidel Castrol Mambo (29) forcibly evicted her from her late husband’s house so that he stays there with his girlfriends.
“I am applying for protection order against my violent son who is forcing me out of my house. He comes home drunk with different girls and asks me for money to pay taxi. When I refuse to pay he assaults me. He claims the house is not mine but his father’s therefore I should leave. He once chased me with a stick and I went and reported the matter to the police where I was advised to apply for a peace order. I went back home with my elder sister to solve the issue but he smashed a bottle and threatened to kill us both and we went back to the police. He is violent and has attacked me on several occasions. He wants me to die so that he get the house,” said Kembo
Mrs Yekuai Chigodora advised Kembo to register her late husband’s estate so that the name can be changed to hers. “After you register your estate you can evict him. The peace order is therefore granted in absentia of the accused,” said Mrs Chigodora.
