SOUL Candi DJs Andyboi, PM Project Cuebur, Wildfire and Just Native from South Africa are heading to Bulawayo this weekend for a two-day party at the recently opened Mojos Bar.
Show organiser, Wushe Wushe, said the DJs would touch down on Thursday for the party which kicks off on Friday evening. “The South African DJs said they felt one day was not enough for them to enjoy their stay in Zimbabwe so they requested that they have it over two days. The party will end on Saturday night,” said Wushe.
The South African contingent will be supported by local DJs, Kid Wekead, De Bongz Deeper and Q1.
Wushe said DJ Andyboi (real name Andile Hlanze) would also use the Bulawayo trip to launch his new album Trials Evolution. Andyboi has featured on chart-topping songs like Usangkhumbula and his Emhlabeni album topping on radio stations in South Africa.
Speaking from his base in South Africa, Zimbabwe-born DJ Wildfire (real name Stanley Dube) said the two-day party would offer them an opportunity to network with fellow DJs in the city.
“We are coming to Bulawayo to perform and launch Trials Evolution.
“We will also have a cultural exchange with local DJs and are hoping to forge strong relations with them,” he said.
Wushe said they had amply prepared for the party assuring revellers that the venue would not be congested.
“The last time when we held the Black Supremacy show, we had an overwhelming response from people.
“We are fully prepared for this show as there will be more parking bays outside and drinks selling points inside the bar.”
