Soul Jah Love declared liberation hero

THE late dancehall musician, Soul Jah Love, real name Soul Musaka who died on Tuesday evening following a long battle with diabetes, has been declared a liberation hero.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda, Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration, Cde Obert Mpofu, said Soul Jah Love, who died aged 31, had been conferred the status by the President.

“His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of Zanu-P), Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has conferred a Liberation Hero status to the late Cde Soul Muzavazi Musaka who passed away on February 16, 2021 at Mbuya Dorcas Hospital,” he said.

“The family can be contacted through our Harare Provincial office. I shall be most grateful if you would make the usual arrangements for his burial and payment of benefits to his family. He is from Harare Province.”
