SOUTH Africa’s top celebrities will from next month, get a chance to share their stories on American channel, E! Entertainment Television.
The series, E! News Special, premiering on E! (DStv Channel 124) on September 10 at 8PM, will profile some of Africa’s most inspiring and influential pop culture personalities including singers, actors, models, socialites and sport stars.
Produced by Johannesburg-based production company Brainstorm and filmed in South Africa, each episode will chronicle the journey of a single personality, giving viewers unique insights into their lives through a mixture of exclusive interviews and other footage.
The featured celebrities will include South African TV and radio personality, Bonang Matheba; actress Terry Pheto; model, and TV host, Shashi Naidoo; music artist AKA; and singer, actor and songwriter Danny K — with more to be announced.
“We’re delighted to launch our first-ever local production on E! in Africa and add E! News Special to the channel’s exclusive line-up of high-quality, original programming,” said Colin McLeod, managing director, Emerging Markets, NBC Universal International Networks.
