As expected, not many shows took place during the cold season, but fortunately, the spring season is upon us with plenty of shows lined up.

Music lovers should look forward to August as it is promising to make up for all the time that was lost during the winter season with a number of South African artistes expected in the country.

Leading the pack will be the Jerusalema hit-maker, Master KG who is expected in the country next week Friday for a show at Pagomba Café in Beitbridge. The next day, he is set to travel to Bulawayo for another show at Palace Gardens in what has been dubbed the “Winter Warmer Show”.

The Beitbridge show will also have performances from local artistes, Holy Ten and Baba Harare. In Bulawayo, the Wanitwa Mos boss will be supported by Holy Ten, Jah Signal, Mzoe 7 and Mr Grey. The show will be hosted by Babongile Skhonjwa, Mr Jaiva and Kikki Dinaj.

Palace Hotel proprietor Tapiwa Gandiwa said preparations for the show are at an advanced stage. He said they are ready to host the artiste with tickets already on sale.

“Master KG is a big brand and so are the supporting acts. That can only mean we have lined up a massive show which should live up to expectations. We want to guarantee fans that this will be a memorable show. They should start getting their advance tickets at the hotel to avoid last-minute hustles,” said Gandiwa.

A week later, on August 11, Bulawayo is set to host another South African artiste in the form of DJ Tyler ICU who is behind the trailblazing hit, Mnike.

He is billed to perform at Cosmopolitan VIP Club.

Ntando Ndlovu, the marketing consultant of the nightclub said they are happy to be bringing in such an artiste to the country.

“As Cosmopolitan VIP Club, we’re excited to be hosting an Amapiano DJ that has taken the whole world by storm with his hit single, Mnike. We remain committed to delivering the very best in entertainment and providing an unparalleled luxury clubbing experience in Zimbabwe,” Ndlovu said.

On the same day, Hamba Juba hit-makers, Murumba Pitch will be rocking crowds at the ZITF Arena.

“We’re excited to share that the event will consist of an hour of deejaying and 30 minutes of singing, ensuring that attendees have a non-stop, exciting experience,” event organisers of the Murumba Pitch gig said.

More entertainment at the event will be provided by Jewz, Shikatoto, Stokswit, Renolife, Ash T, Teflon, Kotwane, Ryan Synth, Feel G, Prince Eskhosini, and Nizhe Desoul.

The organisers assured patrons of tight security with cooler boxes set to be allowed into the venue, though at a fee.

“We want to make sure that this event is accessible to everyone so we have affordable tickets. Alternatively, we have VIP and VVP packages available which come with additional drinks on the side to add a little extra to the experience.

“We’re confident that people will have an amazing time at the event.”
