THE Southern Region Division One League action will today enter into round four with joint log leaders Bosso90 set to face Plumtree-based Mainline in the border town.

Perched in second position, Bosso90 are tied on seven points with pacesetters Casymn who enjoy a superior goal difference of +6 as opposed to the former’s of +3.

Earlier this week, Zifa had threatened to suspend Bosso90 fixtures over non-payment of affiliation fees.
In a letter addressed to Highlanders and titled; “Reminder of Affiliation fees for 2022/23 amounting to US$1 634,90,” Zifa Southern region administrator Augustin Ndlovu said Bosso90 had a balance of US$134,90 for last season and have to pay US$1 500 for the 2023 season.

“We note with concern that after having written to you several times reminding you about paying affiliation fees you have not made an effort to settle your affiliation. The Association will be left with no option but to suspend your fixtures starting with the weekend of 6 May 2023 and you will be forfeiting points to the opposing team,” wrote Ndlovu.

Binga Pirates who had been given up to week three to clear last year’s debt of US$1 900 have since paid and will start playing their games on Saturday.

Pirates will kick-start their campaign with an away match against Mountain Climbers at Luveve B Arena.

Casymn have a date with fellow championship contenders Arenel in a match that will be played at Turk Mine.

Filabusi Government Primary School will be the venue for the game between Talen Vision and bottom placed army side Indlovu Iyanyathela. The match will kick off at 12PM.

Two hours later Filabusi’s Mthwakazi Stadium is expected to be filled to the rafters when Johanisi Nyumhwa mentored Jordan Sinnott play host to Ratanang.

Philani “Beefy” Ncube’s Adachi will do duty against Victoria Falls-based Mosi Rovers at White City Stadium.

Hwange based DRC United meet Ajax Hotspurs at Mpumalanga while Makhandeni Pirates lock horns with Zimbabwe Saints at White City B Arena.

Hwange’s Chagonda ground will be the venue for the game between CIWU and ZPC Hwange.
