KAIZER CHIEFS and Orlando Pirates played out a goalless draw in the Multichoice Diski Challenge at the King Zwelithini Stadium yesterday afternoon. After a rather dull first half, the game sprang to life in the second stanza as both teams searched for the winner to claim bragging rights in Soweto.
The Amakhosi had a great chance to take the lead with 20 minutes remaining but Edward Manqele missed a penalty, kicking high and wide with the Pirates keeper not required to make a save.
Chiefs peppered the Pirates goal in the final minutes but to no avail as they were guilty of some wayward shooting at times.
Both teams do not really gain anything with the shared point in what has been a disappointing Diski Challenge campaign by both Soweto giants. — SuperSport
