Special mothers . . .

HAPPY Mothersa�� Day to all the loving and caring women!

On 14 May, ita��s Mothersa�� Day and leta��s try to make all the moms feel loved, appreciated as we celebrate their greatness.

Mothers are a special present from God and no one could have said it better than the Jewish proverb, a�?God could not be everywhere and therefore He made mothersa��a��.

People have busy schedules and worse if one is a parent, but please try to show your love, care, affection, respect and appreciation as you commemorate Mothera��s Day. Just once in a year, make her feel loved and well appreciated.

It is unfortunate that some people take their mothera��s love for granted with others even going to the extent of mentioning that a�?she did what she did because she had no choice.a�?

Never think this way because you will definitely be off-side. While other women chose to abort, dump their kids, she went out of her way to sacrifice everything for you. She indeed deserves the Best Mum Award and you have to present it!

When was the last time you said a�?Thank Youa�? to your mom for everything she has done? Ore even said I love you mama, admit it, we seldom appreciate their efforts and deeds. If you check around, mothers have sacrificed a lot and have been supportive during good and bad times. This Mothersa�� Day, although you will not be able to repay all her kindness, make this day extra special for her. Let her know how thankful and grateful you are for having her around.

However, it is sad to note that there are people who choose to be a thorn in their mothera��s flesh as they assault, insult and label them witches or prostitutes, Really? Is that how you are thanking the woman who took care of you since birth? Worse it is so touching when you see a a�?a�?daughtera��a�� turning into her mothera��s enemy. Sisters, leta��s try to take care and love our mothers.

You know despite having many relations in our lives, the relationship with your mother is the most beautiful. When one gets married, she is adopted by another woman, meaning you come to have two mothers. Try and treat these women fairly.

I know someone is already saying this is impossible, but it is not. One can rush to list her mother-in-lawa��s weaknesses, but that does mean anything. Even your own mother has weaknesses, therefore just find a way of dealing with her and love her.

Being a mum is a lifestyle. Right from the moment you are born, to when you move out and start your own life, your mum never really stops caring about you and wondering if youa��re okay.

Same applies to your mother-in-law, she will always be worried about her son and it is your duty to make her trust you with her son.

Sisters, you are what you are because of that special woman who brought you up. She taught you everything and be ever grateful for all those things and be proud of her. Of course at times there are mothers who want to control you for the rest of your life, but that does not give you the licence to disrespect her. Talk to her nicely and convince her that whatever decision you are taking is the best and all you need is her support. Never fight your mum!

I am really trying hard not to sound like a pastor, but sisters please respect your mothers forever despite your wealth and status in society a�� or lack of.

As we celebrate Mothera��s Day leta��s give credit where ita��s due sisters. We are what we are today because of our mothers. On this Mothera��s Day, make every moment count; trust me ita��s worth the effort. Have a great Mothera��s Day!!!
