He had stood outside Burradon Community Primary School on July 7 this year waiting for three hours until she came out. When Miss Shadid left the building after finishing her shift at lunchtime Rahman pounced on her and threw her around “like a rag doll.”
In the vicious attack, Rahman rained blow after blow on her head with a hammer, as her terrified colleagues looked on helpless. Now Rahman, (24), of Benwell, Newcastle, has been imprisoned for four years after being deemed a danger to Miss Shahid by a judge.
Rahman and Miss Shadid started dating after meeting on the Internet.
There had been talk of marriage between the couple but her parents had expressed concerns about Rahman’s suitability when she told them about the relationship.
When Miss Shadid eventually decided to end it, Rahman became abusive and threatening and started emotionally blackmailing her in the lead up to the summer attack. – Daily Mail.
