St George’s fourth team were also beaten in a 3-19 loss at the hands of St John’s.
But the St George’s Under-17 were exceptional and they romped to the biggest victory when they thumped St John’s College 43-0.
Meanwhile, selectors have chosen squads from the various schools that participated in the trials to represent the province.
The teams will this weekend compete for selection to the Zimbabwe schools’ national teams to represent the country in the annual Craven Week.
The Under-19 and Under-17 trials will be hosted by Falcon College and the Under-14 trials will be hosted at St John’s College.
St John’s College headmaster, William Annadale, said they were delighted to host the 2013 Harare Province rugby trials at Under-19, Under-17 and Under-14 level.
“The standard of rugby at Under-19 level is very high and extremely competitive this year. There will be some thrilling games, close results and a great deal of talent on display for the rugby fans.
“The selectors will have to make their choices for a limited number of berths from a good number of quality players. Join me in wishing every player the best of luck for next selection.
“Supporters are encouraged to cheer all players and to respect the decisions of referees and officials.
“Partisanship is expected to some extent but bear in mind that many of these players will be working together at the next round,” said Annadale.
