Former Confederation of African Football (CAF) Stadium Head, now a facility consultant, Muhammad Feizal Sidat from Mozambique visited the under construction Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe on Friday, to check on progress.
His brief was to advise on the facility to be adjusted and aligned to CAF standards.
The stadium owned by Kwekwe mining magnate Shepherd Chahwanda in partnership with Prophet Walter Magaya, is near completion and being developed to meet CAF standards to play host to international competitions in the future.

The stadium owners aim to achieve Level 3 status, one of four levels of CAF stadium classifications with Level 4 being the top tier level.
With Sidat’s recommendations and guidance, they are confident of achieving this goal even if it means delaying the official opening.
Sidat expressed satisfaction with the progress, highlighting the impressive dressing rooms, media area and other facilities.
