Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe has launched the Platinum VISA debit card for its Private Banking Customers.
The Platinum VISA debit card, incorporates Priority Pass and THE Lounge in partnership with Traverze Travel.
The Chairman of Traverze Travel, Mr Canaan Dube said The Platinum VISA Card will create an automatic membership for clients to access The Lounge, located at the Harare International Airport.
Stanbic Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Brian Ndadzungira said the launch was a very special occasion for the Bank and its clients as it ushers into the country a much sought after product.
He said the product was for the bank’s high net worth and elite clients who deserve the valuable benefits that come with the Platinum VISA card and Priority Pass.
The Platinum Visa card is characterised by a microchip, which makes it extremely safe to use on Point of Sale and ATMs.It is also internationally recognized and provides a variety of benefits from Merchants and other third parties.
Ndadzungira said some of the benefits are beyond those clients currently enjoy from the bank and they include access to exclusive discounts (local and abroad) and range from dining, thrilling entertainment, luxury travel, hotel packages, shopping and family holidays.
One of the benefit is free insurance cover on goods bought with the VISA Platinum card. Cover is against theft and accidental damage for periods of 90 days and up to 12 months. Proof of purchase will be required to lodgea claim.
Ndadzungira said Platinum Visa Card Holders also enjoy quality purchases which will carry a warranty double that of the manufacturer’s and cover will vary from $3500 to $6000 per annum. This however excludes assets such as boats, land, building, consumables, perishables and services.
“One other benefit is a free Pre-travel destination advise plus information on vaccination, Visa and other requirements as well as , provision of free health advise from local/internationally trained doctors. A holder enjoys all necessary emergency services such as transportation and evacuation, essential medicines and other medical equipment and brought to a card holder if not locally available,” said Ndadzungira.
Platinum card holders will be referred to lawyers and legal practitioners, and in times of emergency and will be referred to translators/interpreters worldwide at a fee and if a holder loses their card they enjoy Emergency Assistance for Lost/Stolen Card.
Visa Global Customer Assistance services will not leave one stranded, they will expedite an emergency replacement cards a.s.a.p. depending on one’s whereabouts. This offers real peace of mind and the services worldwide whilst VISA’s emergency cash disbursement of up to $5000.00 or the local currency equivalent will be with you within one business day. This service will be charged for.
“As a VISA Platinum card holder you have access to over 850 VIP Airport Lounges in 400 cities across more than 120 countries by simply producing your Priority Passcard. Travel often takes a toll on your body and crucial work schedule; having access to a VIP lounge allows one to relax in a quiet and luxurious environment which provides an opportunity to also catch up with work. The normal departure lounges do not offer the privacy and comfort one desires when travelling by air,” Ndadzungira said.
