Step father summons step daughter to his bedroom and rapes her

A 39-YEAR-OLD man from Mhangura, Mashonaland west has been handed a well-deserved 15 year prison sentence after asking his 15-year-old step daughter to bring him water, then raped her.
A devastating act of abuse unfolded when the man, who cannot be named for ethical reasons, lured his innocent 15-year-old stepdaughter into his bedroom under the guise of a simple request for water.
But in a heart-wrenching twist, he viciously exploited her vulnerability, and raped her.
The unspeakable act remained hidden until the girl’s courageous mother uncovered the truth.
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said: “A 39-year-old man from Mhangura appeared before the Chinhoyi Magistrates Court facing rape charges. The complainant in this matter is the accused person’s 15-year-old step daughter. On the 6th of August 2024, the accused person and the complainant were at home when the accused person summoned the complainant into his bedroom. He took the cup of water he had asked the complainant to bring, before he forced her on to the bed, where he raped her. The matter came to light when the complainant’s mother learnt of her ordeal and made a police report, leading to the arrest of the accused person.
“The accused person was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.”
