SOUTH Africa’s most successful Test bowler, Dale Steyn, has thrown his support behind Zimbabwe as they take on the Proteas in the first Test match at Queens Sports Club.
The Proteas legend said Zimbabwe is his second love, adding that a competitive Chevrons side, along with the West Indies, is beneficial for global cricket.

“It’s no secret my second love in cricket is Zimbabwe. Obviously I want the Proteas to win, but I feel a good competitive Zimbabwe, West Indies, etc is so good for world cricket.
“So just for a moment, GO ZIM! But also, to the team, PROTEAS,” Steyn wrote.

The first Test is currently on its second day. South Africa declared their first innings on 418/9. Zimbabwe lost two wickets within the first five overs.
The two most experienced players in the Chevrons side, Craig Ervine and Sean Williams, are currently in the middle.
