Jah Prayzah’s 3G vocalist, Stimy Stimela is looking forward to staging her first show as a solo artiste this Sunday.
At the event taking place at Food Nest Restaurant in Harare, Stimy will be backed by her band, Stimy and The Smilez which she will be unveiling to the public.
Nothing excites the audience more than seeing sisters performing together on stage and helping each other to grow and this will be the case on Sunday as Stimy will be joined on stage by her sisters Edith WeUtonga and Beauty Katiji.
Stimela said it feels amazing to be performing as a solo artiste with the help of her sisters.
“It feels amazing to be on that platform as myself and not behind anyone else. It’s warming that I’m going to have to do the premiere (of her solo career) with the support of my sisters.

“Having my sisters back gives me all the courage. It’s all coming from home and what matters is that I have all the support from home,” said Stimy.
She said they are going to give people an insight into “what we are made of as a family” while introducing herself as a solo act.
“It’s always a good experience whenever we come together, especially now that we’re living in different places so we rarely perform together. It always brings memories of our childhood memories singing in our home.”
Having performed as a backing vocalist for numerous artistes, she said it feels amazing that people will finally get to experience her as a solo musician.
“It also feels great that the voice that has been behind many successful artistes has come out in the open so that people can actually meet the voice that has been behind the people all this while,” she said.
Edith WeUtonga, Stimy’s older sister said she cannot wait for the day.
“As a big sister, I’m super excited to be on stage with both my young sisters at the same time, while officially getting one of them out there as a solo artiste,” she said.
Stimela and Edith Weutonga said the audience will witness the power of collaboration from siblings, sampling new sounds, new acts, and the infectious smile from the three of them. – @TashaMutsiba
