AWARD-WINNING gospel artist Mathias Mhere was given a burger, by a street kid, as a present for his fine performance on Saturday.
Mhere thrilled fans with a polished show at Harare Gardens.
A number of street kids watched the show. After his performance, Mhere had some “selfie” moments with the street kids.
One of them gave him a burger, as an appreciation of his performance.
“Please take this burger as my present for you. That’s the only thing I can afford to give you straight away.
“I love your good music, which I have always enjoyed,” he said in tears.
Dubbed “Dare Guru”, Mhere shared the stage with Baba Machanic Manyeruke, Fungisai Zvakavapano and Mai Patai.
Mhere had a good day in the office, as he ushered out all his artistic verve on stage. His choreography was superb while his stage communication and interaction was awesome.
One of the parents who attended the show with his family, Addwell Mhizha, 56, hailed event organisers for putting together a memorable event.
“I would like to thank Chipaz Promotions for organising such a good show.
“We have been missing such shows and it was a day well spent.
“We really enjoyed ourselves as a family.
“It was good to watch top acts like Mambo Dhutere, Baba Manyeruke, Mai Patai and Fungisai Zvakavapano,” he said.
