Stuart Krog wins Platinum Classic

STUART Krog captured the Platinum Classic at Norton Country Club on Sunday. The Chapman golfer beat Pride Sembo, in a play-off, after they had finished tied on 208. Krog, the country’s top amateur, birdied play-off hole for the victory. He had rounds of 67, 72 and 69 for a total 208 after the three rounds. The players had to play 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. The Platinum Classic was the last event on the Mashonaland West Golf Union calendar and carried national order of merit points.
Kiren Vincent, now playing off zero handicap, finished third with rounds of 70, 70 and 75.

Doctor Maphosa was fourth while Jack Allard was fifth.
Howard Bhauti, David Amm, Ventson Singo, Perkins Mutenda and John Milazi completed the top 10.
