Musician, Desmond ‘Stunner’ Chideme yesterday appeared at the Harare Civil Court where he was charged with contempt of court.

Initially, the singer is reported to have appeared at the court for a different case before he was charged with contempt.

The incident occurred after Stunner allegedly disrespected a presiding magistrate, prompting the court to order his immediate arrest.

He was then whisked out of court to the police post where he was reportedly charged and fined.

When H-Metro arrived at the court, the singer was being escorted from one courtroom to another before “escaping” the media.

Meanwhile, Stunner will be back at Mbare Magistrates’ Court where he is set to stand trial for two counts of assault.

He is expected in court on September 12 for his trial.
