Sulu continues with new album outreach

Dendera ace Suluman Chimbetu has begun marketing his upcoming album that is set for release in August. The musician will tonight perform at Dandaro Inn at Showgrounds before moving to Chitungwiza where he is set to perform at Caprive Pub and Grill at Ziko tomorrow and will wrap up the weekend back in the capital at Holly’s Car Wash on Sunday.In an interview, Sulu through his publicist Joe Nyamungoma, said the preparations for the new album are at an advanced stage and encouraged people to come and have a feel of some of the songs.

“As preparations for the new album intensify, we are happy to announce that we will be sampling some of the new tracks that are on our yet-to-be-named upcoming album during our live performances this weekend, so we are urging people to come in their numbers and have a feel of the album, “he said.

Nyamungoma said the upcoming album which will be Sulu sixth and will carry seven tracks and they will sample at least four songs.

“Some of the songs on the album that we are going to be playing this weekend are ‘Not Necessary’, ‘Aripo Asara’ and ‘Katundu”, he said.

Owner of Caprive Pub and Grill Chris Mangena said they were happy to be hosting Sulu at the joint.

“Alick Macheso successfully opened the place last week and we felt it proper to have Suluman coming to perform at the place. We are happy that people are gaining confidence in the new place. We are trying to give the best at Ziko,” he said.

The place has managed to bring new lease of life for fun-loving people at Ziko.
