Sulu, Energy Mutodi clash at Ochi City

Sounds of Africa fronted by Energy Mutodi “square off” with bodybuilders at this year’s edition of Ochi City’s Mr and Ms Iron Man Championship to be held in August.
The bodybuilding contest, now in its second edition – is being sponsored by Oliver Chibage, the owner of the joint, who is also an avid music and bodybuilding fanatic himself.
While all eyes will be on who among the ‘hulks’ – both male and female – will walk away with the coveted trophies and prizes that include a car and household goods, among others, “Mwana Wedangwe” or simply Sulu, will without doubt be the major draw-card on the entertainment line-up.
This is not the first time that Sulu plays at the joint situated near Domboshava after having made successful forays in the past.
Fans in and around the area will have a chance to sample songs off his latest album “Non-Stop” for the first time.
People have fallen in love with the songs “Dzamutsana”, “Kwedu” and the title track that have also become a hit on the airwaves.Sulu is also expected to take revelers down memory lane when he belts some hits by late father Simon Chimbetu.
On the other hand, Real Sounds, fronted by Mutodi, are expected to live up to the billing, as one of the country’s leading rhumba groups when they perform at the same event.
They are currently riding high with their latest album “Simbi Yamudhara”.

The group’s stage etiquette from dressing, dances and music is out of this world.
Another entertainer would be the enigmatic Dr Zobha who is expected to thrill people with his pranks.
Meanwhile, a new segment, “Mr and Ms Iron Man with Disability” has also been introduced as part of bodybuilding competition in an effort to give people with disabilities to prove themselves.
“Such competitions have not been happening in the past because of financial crisis, until Mr Chibage decided to chip in as a sponsor.
“The inaugural competition was held last year and this year the Zimbabwe National Bodybuilding and Fitness Association decided there was need for a bigger and better event,” said Cloud Shambare, the secretary general of the association.
There will be various categories for the seniors, juniors, under 21, ladies and the disabled for the competition.
