Dendera musician Sulumani Chimbetu is set to headline President Mugabe’s 91st birthday celebrations to be held in Victoria Falls tomorrow. Tambaoga is expected to make a return to the big stage as he will also be among the performing artistes that include Sandra Ndebele, Seh Calaz, King Shady, Iyasa and a number of local musicians from Victoria falls. In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, Sulu promised a polished act.

“My band is ready for the show and we are encouraging people especially in Vic Falls to come in their numbers this Saturday as we celebrate our President’s birthday,” he said.

One of the organisers of the event said they have decided to give room to artistes in Victoria Falls to showcase their talent at the event.

“We want to also promote and uplift artistes in the area who have not been given an opportunity to perform in front of big crowds and share stage with big names like Sulu.

“They are also going to be performing in their vernacular language so as to cater for people from the area who do not understand Shona. We have a number of such artistes on the list,” he said.
