This will be second time in a month that Sulu and Tongai Moyo’s son, Peter, meet after their encounter at the Zim’s Finest gig at which the later stood in for his father.
What makes the show interesting is that it will be the first time that Peter plays at the joint, which is owned by his father’s close associate Petros Chigodora.
The joint boasts state of the art facilities including a bar, gazebo and braai area.
The show will also give revellers in the area a chance to witness Peter performing with his father’s outfit.
Petros has been supportive of Tongai for many years now and he (Peter) is no stranger to the music jungle and this is an opportunity for him to create and cement a bond with his father’s fans.
Sulu, on the other hand, is on top of his game and music lovers will enjoy to their hearts’ content when he plays at the newly opened joint.
“Mwana Wedangwe” as he is fondly called in music circles attracts multitudes of fans whenever he performs.
He has a catalogue of songs that are popular with people, especially hits from his latest album “Non-Stop”.
Who is not familiar with songs like “Dzamutsana”, “Kwedu” and “Temperature”, among others?
He is also famous for his neat dress code and energetic dances while fans of his late father Simon Chimbetu’s music are always taken down memory lane when the young musician belts out some of the golden oldies like “Pane Asipo” and “Ndarangarira Gamba”.
Sulu has risen to become one of the country’s top performers and revellers at the gig will have their money’s worth.
