“We have realised that there is need to launch a website on Facebook for our multitude of fans. On the website, they will have the opportunity to browse on the updates of the band.
“This to our fans means life made easier as well as members of the media since they shall be notified on what will be happening in the dendera camp,” he said.
Mr Jakachira challenged the corporate world to play a role as part of their efforts to realise their goals.
“We are now calling on the corporate world to rally behind us through inserting adverts. Green Card, our major sponsor, has supported us financially. All proceeds will be channelled to charity since Sulu has a passion to see a smile on every child’s face,” he said.
He added: “This to us means taking the band to a better level, reinforcement of our relations with the sponsors and the media at large.”
Sulu thanked all those who thronged the venue and highlighted the need for technology.
“Firstly, l would like to thank our sponsor, GreenCard Medical Society, for their undying love. Turning to technology, I believe that these days we are now living a fast
life where communication is being made easier and faster. I can still recall the days when my father was still alive.
“He used to communicate with his fans through mail and in most cases I would help to reply some since there were too many.
“Today, I am happy that the launch of our website means life made easier. Our base of fans can now easily communicate with us. We want to fit the bill like international stars, e.g Akon”, he said.
Sulu shared his passion towards helping the underprivileged children’s home in Chegutu.
“All the proceeds from the web are going to be channelled to a home in Chegutu — vana vedu. I am greatly honoured and happy to help them. Recently we were scouting for talent and we managed to pick up a football player plying his trade with Black Mambas. We are now calling for fellow musicians, Zimbabweans to join
hands.”
He also took the opportunity to announce he will be handing over 200 blankets to the home.
The web page’s front page has a 5 500 carrying capacity and it will provide other services like blogs, news, updates, responses and music releases.
