Organised by Mrs Isabel Chihuri, who is also the national vice chairperson of Kuyedza Women’s Club, the show promises nothing but fireworks considering that all the musicians in the line-up appeal to all age groups and are household artistes in their own right.
Sulu is currently on top of his game and his shows are a must-attend. Those who have never witnessed the artiste in action should look forward to his energetic dances backed his group as well as his string of hit songs like “Kwedu”, “Temperature” and “Dzamutsana” which are featured on his album “Non-Stop”.
Those who loved his late father Simon’s music will also be taken down memory lane when he plays yesteryear hits like “One Way” and “Ndarangarira Gamba” among others.
On the other hand, Jah Prayzah will take the same platform to prove why he is the hottest artiste of the moment when he performs before the crowd.
Since there will be braai and ice cold beer on sale at the show, revellers will find his song “Gochi Gochi” irresistible while he will also advise people on good morals and behaviour on the song, “Ngwarira Kuparara”.
His military fatigues which he dresses while on stage will add to the picture of a uniformed forces event.
Saba will take gospel music lovers on a memorable voyage with his catalogue of songs like “Bhosvo” which is a favourite of many.
The diminutive artiste is also famous for his engrossing dances.
But the Police Band are also a marvel to watch and they sure know how to play copyright songs by various artistes and no wonder they are one of the most sought-after groups at different functions.
Meanwhile, Suluman and his band will this Sunday lock horns with one of Zimbabwe’s talented guitarists, Rodrick Chemudhara, at a gig scheduled for Club Paramount in Chitungwiza.
Hailing from the Tembo brothers, Chemudhara and his five-member band — the Afro Kings — will prove live to the audience’s expectations when they exchange notes with Sulu, one of the top performers at the moment.
