Sunday Mail scribe wins insurance award

Sunday Mail Reporter

THE Sunday Mail Online News Editor Tawanda Musarurwa last week won the Best Print Reporter Award at the National Social Security Authority (NSSA) — Insurance Pensions Commission (IPEC) virtual awards.

The awards were in recognition for outstanding reporting of insurance and pension news over the course of 2020 following the NSSA-IPEC Journalists Mentorship Programme (2020).

NSSA and IPEC have in recent years been proactive in facilitating training for media practitioners who have gone on to contribute significantly towards objective and impactful coverage of the critical issues in the insurance and pensions industry.

“In-depth reportage gradually leads to a society that is able to make informed decisions when it comes to pensions and insurance, and financial management in general,” said NSSA general manager Arthur Manase during the virtual awards ceremony.
