Sunderland seal Manquillo deal

Sunderland have completed a deal to bring Atletico Madrid full-back Javier Manquillo back to the Premier league on a season-long loan. The 22-year-old Spaniard becomes David Moyes’ sixth signing of the summer after joining from the Spanish giants. The Black Cats have the option of converting the season-long loan to a permanent four-year deal after the completion of the loan period.

It will also mark a return to Merseyside for the Spaniard, who spent the 2014-15 season on loan with Liverpool, and last season on loan to Olympique Marseille.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have signed goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from Barcelona for 18m euros (£15.4m). The fee for the 33-year-old Chile international could rise with £1.7 million of add-ons, say the Spanish club.

Bravo, who has signed a four-year contract, is expected to start ahead of England goalkeeper Joe Hart and Argentine Willy Caballero. – supersport.com
