BULAWAYO’S Sungura Masters have broadened their musical scope and have shifted base to Harare as they seek to lure a national fan base.
The dance outfit which has been in the game for the past decade are aiming at tapping into the international market and feel the capital is the best starting point.
Speaking from their new base, the group’s media liaison Nyarai Marufu said they were settling well and enjoying the love from their Harare fans.
“As a group that is seeking to be known throughout the continent and the world at large, we have decided to be based in the capital. This is so as we feel that here we can create more links. We are quite amazed with the love people of Harare have shown us in all the shows that we have performed. We were not expecting this honestly,” said Marufu.
The Entumbane dance group say they have earned themselves a name in the capital as they have gigs lined up until the end of the year.
“We have also gigs lined up for the whole festive season but the problem now is that they clash with some of our Bulawayo shows. We are yet to decide which ones to drop,” she said.
