Sunsets

David Matapo

Softly, steadily we move along,

With grace and purpose, we carry on,

Past the concerns that we’ve known,

Toward a brighter, more benign tone.

Sunkissed in a golden light,

A soothing end to a day so bright,

Filled with moments that we’ll recall,

And cherish as we rest and fall.

And in the morning,

An untouched start,

A new day to try again,

To make it count and gain.
