A BULAWAYO man yesterday played dumb in court for the second time and the magistrate was forced to remand him in custody again.
Constance Moyo appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Themba Chimiso charged with physical abuse.Prosecuting Mitchelle Chiboiwa said it was Moyo’s second time to play dumb in court.

“This is the second time Moyo is keeping quiet when asked questions in court. He appeared last week on May 27 and he                                  kept quiet and his matter was remanded  to June 2. He has again kept quiet in this session and his case has been remanded,” she said.

The court heard that on May 17,  Catherine Moyo was preparing to go to church when her daughter rushed to inform her that she had seen Moyo jumping over their  gate.

After entering their yard, Moyo attempted to open doors to the woman’s house using force but failed.

He then allegedly threatened Catherine’s step sister by saying he was coming back to shoot her dead.

Moyo indeed came back the same day at around 11PM and jumped into Catherine’s yard again, but police were called and he was arrested.

Chiboiwa said while not responding to questions in court, Moyo looked as if the questions were annoying him.
Moyo was remanded in custody and will be back in court on June 13.
