A HARARE man, who was allegedly found in possession of a screenshot of a Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (zimsec) November 2017 English Paper 2, was yesterday taken to court. Victor Tamanikwa (25) from Mabvuku, appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Nomsa Sabarauta facing charges of contravening the zimsec Act. He was remanded out of custody on free bail. The trial will resume on November 28.

zimsec was represented by its English subject manager, Mr Christopher Kariyo, who brought the original copy of the question paper that was reportedly leaked. Prosecutor Mr Rufaro Chatora alleged that on October 27, police detectives received information that Tamanikwa was in possession of a screenshot in his phone of a question paper written on October 26. The police proceeded to Tamanikwa’s house and asked him to open his phone gallery, where they duly found the screenshot.
