Prince Edward rugby team the Tigers came up top as the hosts of the Reunion Day match held last week. It was a sweet victory as they beat perennial rivals St George’s College 29:5. The match was part of the schools 118 years celebration. The rugby match was more than a match as the pitch was overwhelmed by fans all over cheering their teams with much enthusiasm. The game kicked off and the boys played until half time without any team scoring.
The match then resumed with a brace coming from Saints. This stimulated PE Tigers to mount pressure after pressure on their rivals until it was 29 to 5 in favour of PE.
In addition to rugby I had the chance to watch the soccer and hockey games. All the boys displayed real teamwork leading the games to be quite enjoyable to watch.
Through the clash of matched great skills the hockey game became tough as the boys from both teams were trying to secure a win. I think the end result of a draw was fair and saved either side the heartbreak of losing such a tightly contested match.

The soccer match was very exceptional with much talent being displayed by the boys from both teams. Once again the PE boys proved their pedigree by thrashing Saints by 2 goals to nil, both goals coming in the second half.
“PE was better than us but most of all we enjoyed the game despite the result” said the Saints soccer captain.
“A very good all round sportsmanship displayed by the boys. A day well spent” said a parent after the event.
