GOSPEL musician Takesure Zamar, who featured on South Africa’s Joyous Celebration 19, is set to tie the knot with his girlfriend Kudzai Marova whom he married customarily over the weekend.
Zamar, who is behind the hit Kuregerera In Advance, said he met Marova at their Harvest House International church in Bulawayo last year during one of the Sunday services.
“As children of God, we met at church last year. I asked Kudzai out after having known her for some time. From there, I’ve been doing investigations on her character through various members of the church,” Zamar said.
“After having known her for about a year and realising she was a person I could spend the rest of my life with, I decided to propose to her. She said yes and I made arrangements to pay her bride price.”
The bride price was paid at Marova’s family home in Gweru last Saturday where it was agreed that December 12 be set as the date for the wedding.
“There comes a time in life that one has to settle down. I believe that this is the time. God has surely given me a wife that’ll support me in all my endeavours and I’m grateful for that,” he said.
Sharing the good news with friends and family, Zamar took to social media networking site, WhatsApp and posted: “ . . . paid lobola for my lovely wife-to-be Kudzai Marova. You supported us in many ways. Special thank you for praying for us!#gracethings.”
Zamar, however, refused to reveal how much he had paid to marry Marova, adding that the wedding venue would only be revealed to invited guests.
