Taking Bosso service to new level

HEART and Soul Highlanders Supporters Association, Peacot Hadebe feels it is time to take his service to the club to a new level as he seeks elevation to the post of committee member. Hadebe said since he committed himself to being part of the Bosso marshals who are tasked with crowd control duties in 2000, he has been of service to the club in various capacities.

He said after being part of the founding group of marshals he went on to form the Heart and Soul chapter, which has been instrumental in lending a hand when the first team goes into camp.

“For me it is simply moving to another platform to continue with my service to Bosso, I have been a dedicated member and contributed my service for the betterment of the club, particularly through Heart and Soul.

“Bosso fell on hard times and decided they will not be going to camp in preparation for games but we felt camping is a critical part of preparing for matches and has an impact on performance so we offered to buy the club groceries for camping purposes. We have done this for every home match and away matches that would be played at Barbourfields as our contribution ensuring the success of the club,” he said. Hadebe said they also managed to contribute towards the repainting of the club’s property that is at Luveve 4 popularly known as Hotel California and also bought a television set and DStv digital satellite set for the house. He said he believes the time is ripe for him to work within the executive to improve the club’s lot and contribute at a higher platform.

“I can say I have been in the trenches for a long time and I think I can contribute more at executive level now. Unity within the Highlanders family is critical and when I become a committee member, I intend to bring supporters, members and the executive closer. I believe I can be the bridge between supporters and the executive leading to a harmonious relationship that can bear huge fruits for the club because unity is the key to success,” said Hadebe.
