Talbert Shumba: Setting the record straight

Talbert Shumba, the talented goalkeeper, has been the subject of much speculation and misinformation on social media in recent days.

Allegations have been circulating that he refused to accept a Toyota Aqua as a gift from Scottland FC’s president, Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya, with some even suggesting that he demanded a cash equivalent instead.

However, sources close to the player have revealed that these allegations are completely false and without foundation.

“He is very happy with his move and the remineration he received from Scottland FC. He is focused on his football career, and does not want any distractions.”

In what could be clandestine effortd to destablise the PSL newboys, social media views Shumba’s alleged decision to decline the car has been misconstrued by some as a sign of disrespect or ungratefulness. But those who are close to him have rubbished them, saying they know that he is a humble and down-to-earth individual who is simply focused on his craft.

“Talbert is a professional, and he knows what’s important,” said another source close to the player.

“He’s not interested in material possessions or publicity stunts. He just wants to play football and make a positive contribution to his new team.”

As Shumba prepares for the new season with Scottland FC, he is determined to put the distractions of social media behind him and focus on what really matters – his performance on the pitch.
