Organised by Rovambira Arts Network, a local non-governmental organisation from the same neighbourhood, the one-day festival started at 10am and ended around 5pm.
The performers included Kapfupi fronting Orchestra Ndoozvo, Jah Prayzah, Tryson Chimbetu, Syndicate, Crazy Boyz and Generations Dance, to mention a few.
According to Malon Macebo, the festival was named after the traditional bira ceremony after the farming season.
“Tambayi Zhizha is an arts celebration of the end of the natural farming season in Zimbabwe into the winter season and in that manner included chibage, mangai, mahewu, manhanga, rupiza and many other farm produce that we could get our hands on”.
