The album is likely to resonate with many listeners around the country.
She worked with producers – Rodney Beatz, Pablo, WayneBeatz and Jeremiah “Spirit Fingerz” – to create a musical tapestry that blends influence from Afro-pop, soul and contemporary R&B.
“I think we are just embracing Zimbabwean talent each and every producer on this project is proudly Zimbabwean.
“They have done well in their respective areas.
“Some of them are on coming up and I thought it would be a great opportunity to collaborate. I didn’t just work with them, I collaborated with them. I respect their craft.
“I’m so honoured to work with them.
“I was working with different producers because I think they all specialise in a different sound. But each one is tracing back to their Zimbabwean roots. And, that’s really what I wanted to bring to the project.
“Just an appreciation of who we are as a people, our language, our sound.”
