Tapera for Shabanie

SHABANIE Mine have appointed FC Platinum Under-19 coach Jairos Tapera with immediate effect as their new technical manager, The Herald can reveal. Tapera will be working with Shabanie Mine coach John Phiri.
Tapera is still employed by FC Platinum and his salary will be paid by the platinum miners with Shabanie Mine only taking care of his bonus.
The arrangement was made with the top hierarchy of FC Platinum and Shabanie Mine as they seek to save the asbestos miners from relegation.

Greg Mataka, the Shabanie Mine president, had a meeting with FC Platinum president George Mawere at Roland Golf Club and Mawere agreed to release Tapera. Meanwhile, Norman Mapeza yesterday reflected on his first loss since joining FC Platinum.

“A loss happens in football. I am proud of the boys but it was not our day. We created chances and if you don’t score goals you usually get punished. They (Highlanders) came with a positive mind, just like us, but it was not just our day. We still have more games to play and we will take each game as it comes.”
