Tapiwa Pongweni appointed Peterhouse sports director

Zimbabwe Under-18 hockey coach, Tapiwa Pongweni, has been appointed director of sport by the Peterhouse Group of Schools.

Pongweni is also assistant coach of the country’s girls’ Under-21 hockey team.

He will be tasked to guide the schools’ cross-country, athletics and hockey teams.

Prior to his latest appointment, he was the assistant sports director at Girls College in Bulawayo for the past seven years.

‘‘Pongweni is hardworking and passion driven. He strives to achieve the best out of everyone. We are looking forward to a long rewarding relationship with him at Peterhouse, as we seek to maintain our standards,’’ reads a Peterhouse statement.
