UPCOMING gospel and RnB artist, Tapia “Tapslee” Sadi, says he is ready to take on the world by storm despite having to balance school and his music career.
The 18-year-old described his musical journey as bumpy, but he has managed to keep pursuing his dream.
In an interview with H-Metro, Tapslee said he used the Covid-19 lockdowns to pursue his music career since school was closed.
“I started recording in 2020. I can say the Covid-19 pandemic kick-started my music career and so I call myself the Covid-19 baby.
“I actually started my career in August 2020 during the lockdown. That’s when I recorded my first and second songs. I then recorded Mhinduro Munayo.
“I can say Covid-19 helped me get time for music since I was doing my O-Levels,” he said.
The gospel artist started his musical journey two years ago.
“Well, my inspiration came from what I see happening in everyday life.”
Sadi said he wishes to collaborate with big names in the industry.
“I wish to also collaborate with Holly Ten, Mambo Dhuterere, Garry Mapanzure, Ammara Brown and Jah Prayzah.”
“I’m a marketer and CEO of an organisation called Zimbabwe Schools Arts Gallery. I’m also a guitarist and aspiring violinist,” he said.
