TAPUWA Khumbuyani, the 2014 season Caps United captain, is waiting to hear from his former employees on his next destination after his contract came to an end on December 31.
The fullback was the driving force for the Green Machine who finished third in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after several years last season.
Khumbuyani is among several players who are still to decide on their future after their contracts ran down.
The 31-year-old said he is willing to remain at Makepekepe if they offer him a lucrative deal after spending three years with the club.
Khumbuyani has just had his best season of an 11-year-long career that started at Chapungu in 2003.
The player got his first taste of Caf Champions League with Monomotapa before a loan move to Blue Ribbon which acted as his springboard to the Green Machine which he led during the past season.
“I’ve not decided on my future but if Caps United approaches me I’ll remain at the club. I’ve not received any offers yet but I hope to get one soon when the holiday comes to an end.”
Khumbuyani, who revealed that he has a soft sport for Caps United, is likely to remain at the club as FC Platinum, who at one point expressed interest in his services, has since completed their squad for the African safari.
Khumbuyani, a former Airforce of Zimbabwe employee, started his career as a striker but was transformed to the rightback position by Misheck Chidzambwa who was in charge of Chapungu.
Caps United are likely to face a player exodus as they have already lost Dominic Chungwa and Kelvin Bulaji to city rivals Dynamos while Tendai Samanja has since followed former coach Taurai Mangwiro to Harare City.
Several other players are still contracted to the financially troubled club who are still to announce their 2015 season coach.
