TEENAGE female Zim-dancehall artiste, Tariro Marange, has joined a bandwagon of upcoming artistes by releasing a new single titled Nherera last weekend.
This is Tariro’s third single track released within the last three months.
The song was produced by Leeman of Optisonic studios in Sakubva.
Tariro stormed into limelight late last year when she released love ballads, Mumoyo and Tora Uende Neni which received rave reviews on local radio stations.
Tariro, whose real name is Nandi T, can be aptly described as a love specialist as well as a social commentator since she focuses on issues affecting day-to-day people, from love to betrayal.
In an interview, the 18 year old chanter, said that she drew her inspiration from popular dancehall musicians Lady Squanda and Seh Calaz.
“These two artistes gave me a reason to believe in myself in the dancehall music scene. Their songs are pregnant with meaning. I hope to sing like them someday. I love singing about issues that affect us everyday. I want to inspire people through my music,” she said.
She added that she was currently working on releasing her debut album.
“As soon as funds permit, I wish to come up with a full album that would carry all my single tracks as well as new music. Age is still on my side and I believe nothing will stop me from achieving my dreams as a musician,” she said.
The promising young musician did her primary and secondary school education at Zedza in Bocha and Holy Ghost College.
