GOSPEL musician Tatenda Mahachi has released the visuals for his song Favour, a collaboration with Zimdancehall star Bazooker.
The track is part of Mahachi’s third album, Renewed, which he describes as his most accomplished project to date.
Speaking in an interview, Mahachi said the song celebrates God’s unmerited favour and reflects on how faith can transform difficult situations.
Mahachi explained that the song is rooted in gratitude, inspired by life’s challenges and the belief that divine grace can bring positive change.
“The song encourages listeners to remember that even in their lowest moments, God’s favour can lead to restoration, breakthroughs, and fresh beginnings.
“Drawn from personal experiences, the song is a testimony of how God’s grace operates beyond human effort,” said Mahachi.
He also shared his excitement about working with Bazooker, noting that the collaboration carries a strong message of hope.
The music video, shot in a studio setting, highlights Mahachi’s emotional expressions of gratitude during their performance.
“It also features award-winning choreographers who bring energy to the production through dynamic dance sequences,” he said.
The musician reckons that life does not always unfold as expected, but faith has shown him that hardships can be turned into powerful testimonies. “This is a powerful song that we blended two genres to bring out the greatest form of favour which is the grace to know Christ as a personal Saviour,” he said.
With the song already trending, Mahachi continues to showcase his signature style of blending gospel themes with modern musical influences, while Bazooker’s contribution adds a vibrant and distinctive touch.
Mahachi, who now has three albums under his belt, is slowly marking significant steps to create music that uplifts, inspires, and strengthens people’s faith.
