“Christians follow in the footsteps of Christ while church-goers have double standards, but all are found in the church. While there is time, I urge people to be safe and prepare now, otherwise their souls might suffer in the end,” he said.
Nhema, who has been a recording artiste since 2008, is currently enjoying the success of his latest offering “Ngatitye Mwari” from 2012. Two of its videos, “Mweya” and the title track are receiving considerable play on the both local television stations.
“I wrote all the songs on the six-track album and two of the videos were shot in different parts of Harare. The response to the album is quite overwhelming and as an upcoming musician, it encourages me to do more,” he said.
The Greendale-based worshipper said he derives hi teachings from biblical stories, including those of Ananias and Safira who paid the price of disobeying God. He reiterated that one might succeed in fooling the people but the one above is aware of all that is happening.
Nhema added that while he is still promoting “Ngatitye Mwari”, he is almost done with his forthcoming album. The album is due for release in two months although it is yet to be named. The album contains songs that minister to believers and non-believers.
“The album is better than the previous one because this time, we have made use of live instruments instead of the usual digital ones. There is diversity as we have incorporated genres like reggae, rhumba and museve,” he said.
The general message in the upcoming album touches on the unconditional love that God has for his people. Among the outstanding songs are “Ruvarashe” and “Zimbabwe”.
“On the forthcoming album, the message emanates from the biblical verse that we are the light of the world. God loves us all and has seen our pain, it is time that our prayers are answered,” he said.
